Testing A Apache Server For ModProxy

Sometimes you will get hit with proxy requests and although it has to be enabled its nice to test it out and make sure its not enabled

Run the following commands and replace www.example.com with your domain

telnet www.example.com 80 GET http://www.yahoo.com/ HTTP/1.1 Host: www.yahoo.com

If yahoo page loads then modproxy is enabled and accepting connections.....if your page loads then modproxy is not in operation and you can safely disregard any messages in your log files on modproxy
